The Final Mailing

Before they hit the big time -- and one time after -- the Dixie Chicks sent a newsletter to their loyal fans. The irregularly published Chick Chat was a facinating stream-of-conciousness look into the lives of a group of talented young ladies (and gentlemen) struggling with life on the road.

The final mailing to the members of the Dixie Chicks' Chick Chat mailing list was in January, 1998. It was a single sheet, announcing the new CD and the album release party/concert. See the Editor's Notes for the Winter 1997 Chick Chat for more details, and the announcement of the end of the Chick Chat.

This mailing was one page, featuring the "new" Dixie Chicks logo. I'll scan it in if I ever get a chance.

[Dixie Chicks] one listen, one show, is all it takes...

there's no mistaking the REAL DEAL!!
The Dallas Observer has voted them the "Best Country Band in Dallas" for four years running.

The Dallas Morning News sums it all up: "It has been a while since Nashville has produced a hit-making, all-female country group... a trio would just triple the odds in their favor."
